FAQ

Do perks need an equipped slot?
Head Start says No perk slot needed on its card. Other perks count toward PERKS equipped limits shown as 0/1, 1/1, or 2/2 next to Perk Slots upgrades.
How much does the second Perk Slot cost?
At Perk Slots 1/3 the upgrade button showed 1,000g; at 2/3 it showed 5,000g in verified frames. We did not capture a price for reaching 3/3 slots.
What does Gold Digger do?
Panel text: +10% base Gold for kills and assists, with Levels I–III. One frame showed a 400g button price on the card.
When do Enchants unlock?
MBT footage on a single video showed Enchants with Unlocks at LV 15 and ROLL buttons costing Emeralds. We label Enchants as single-source, not re-verified across other uploads.

Where do you buy Perks in +1 Upgrade Per Kill?

From the lobby, open Upgrades on the right rail. The window title is Upgrades with two tabs: Perks and Enchants. The Perks tab subtitle reads Perks work from spawn—buys apply on your next life, not mid-fight. Gold prices sit on yellow buttons on each card.

Perks are the main Gold sink alongside class unlocks. Farm predictable Gold in how to get Gold (Playtime 650g, Group 500g, Daily 160g) before you chase expensive slot upgrades.

What do Perk Slots cost?

Perk Slots card text: Equip more perks at the same time.

Slots owned (UI) Button price (frames) PERKS equipped examples
1/3 1,000g 0/1 seen on fresh accounts
2/3 5,000g 1/1, 2/2 in later footage

We did not capture the 3/3 upgrade price or the maximum number of equipped perks after all purchases.

What does each Perk do and what did buttons show?

Perk Slot rule Levels Effect text (from panels) Example button prices
Head Start No perk slot needed I–IV (IV effect not shown) I: Spawn with Leather Helmet + Leather Boots. II: + Leather Leggings. III: + Leather Chestplate. 300g / 700g / 1,500g at I→II→III steps
Snack Pack Uses a slot I–III I: One extra Golden Apple per life, 30s after the drop. II: 15s after the drop. Next III: at spawn on II card. 200g → 500g → 1,100g sequence
Second Wind Uses a slot I–II named I: Heal half a heart on kill. Next II: 1 heart 1,200g with Unequip / EQUIPPED on I
Bounty Hunter Uses a slot I–III +20% Gold from claimed bounties. 300g
Gold Digger Uses a slot I–III +10% base Gold for kills and assists. 400g
Soft Landing Uses a slot I–III Fall damage ×0.8. 200g

Head Start IV appears in the level counter (I/IV through III/IV) but our frames did not show the IV effect sentence or IV button price—do not assume a fourth armor piece beyond III text.

Snack Pack pairs with how to heal (golden apples in the hotbar). Second Wind adds kill sustain on top of apples. Soft Landing only matters if you take void or ledge fall damage—see upgrade ladder for void deaths.

What is on the Enchants tab?

Enchants were visible only in MBT overview footage (R1JmCacefj4) in our workflow—single video, not cross-checked on other uploads:

  • ROLL buttons: 1× ◆60 and 10× ◆540
  • Slot 1: empty
  • Unlocks at LV 15
  • ROLL ODDS list naming enchants such as Mark, Frost, Ember (effects not verified)

Enchant Roll vouchers from Playtime or Group Reward (Roll icon) likely feed this system, but we did not film a roll result. Skip Enchants until LV 15 unless you are collecting vouchers early.

What buy order makes sense?

Editorial opinion (not win-rate data):

  1. Head Start I–III when you lack time to loot leather on early upgrades—the spawn kit matches early leather pieces on the upgrade ladder without using a perk slot.
  2. Gold Digger I if you already earn variable kill/assist Gold and want a verified +10% multiplier before luxury buys.
  3. Snack Pack I or Second Wind I depending on whether you die with empty apples or lose trades by one heart—both show up in sustained PvP clips.
  4. Perk Slot 2/3 for 5,000g only after you have two perks you actually want equipped together; the first slot (1,000g) is cheaper but still competes with Archer 250g-tier classes.
  5. Bounty Hunter if you actively claim bounties in arena; we did not verify bounty UI payouts, so this perk stays situational.

Head Start’s free leather can overlap with gear from kills—still useful after death resets to 0/34 when you re-enter without saved armor.

What is not verified on Perks?

  • Head Start IV effect and price.
  • Full III tier prices/effects for Gold Digger, Bounty Hunter, and Soft Landing (only base buttons on one scroll).
  • Whether Unequip refunds Gold (button seen on Second Wind, rules not shown).
  • Exact PERKS equipped cap at max slots.
  • Any enchant proc numbers (Mark, Frost, Ember).
